ow, ow, ow

Here's a close up of the abused appendage...

My wrists are killing me...

Mom, this is what I was doing when you called earlier: Sasha is the bigger one, Brownie is the brown one...they're checking out a squirrel.

Seriously, this was my whole evening...

And die...

In the post-bath frenzy, the squeeky toy must die

Moving a bunch of sheet (Part 1)

Mars (there is no excuse for you) Rose leaving little wheels whereever he goes. Sounds catchy.

Dog Driving (just like a wee team of horses)

It sounds fun, but the reality looks more like this:

Sooo cute

Another pic of the new niece. Apparently the sleepy part is becoming rare already. At least for her.

Rally in the park

A little girl sped by me in the park this afternoon on a bubblegum-pink Barbie ATV, skidded to a stop, swung a perfect three point turn and took off again without grinding any gears. She looked about eight. The drivers on my block need to take some lessons from this kid.

Stalking the bagels

After a long weekend of dogs and more dogs, I've taken on another dog walking job. This means that Kirby gets to go on something like 6 walks a day, which for him is another 6 opportunities to scarf gross things that he's not supposed to eat off the street. He prefers in order: chicken bones, old bagels, anything squishy and unidentifiable. Here he is scoping out the buffet. Note how he cleverly blends into the shadows - all the better for stalking those tricky bagels.

Cuter than a pile of kittens

Here's the first of many, many, many pictures of my niece that I'll be posting.

Unimpressed

Kirby, however, remains unimpressed by my new status.

New skirt, new job

I've picked up my second new job of the week - office minion - and I finally got my cool internet skirt that I ordered four months ago and that has now been to at least as many states. Why postal service? Why??

The other hour is spent eating.

Reality TV for dogs

There is a guy in our neighborhood who carefully sticks bits of old bread down the storm drain on our corner. He's feeding the rats. I've thought about going up to him and asking that he quit aiding our rodent population, but I'm assuming that anyone who intentionally feeds the rats is probably not open to reason. Last night while walking the dog, I looked down and saw five rats playing in the storm drain. They were doing rat acrobatics. I've never seen my dog so stunned. It was reality TV for dogs.
